Program Introduction from the Academic Director
Remaining vital and passionate about our work as therapists requires a serious commitment to on-going training and supervision throughout our careers. However, many professionals stop receiving regular consultation or supervision after becoming licensed, leaving them with sporadic and often superficial continuing education seminars as their primary means of professional enrichment. Over time, professional development and personal self-care take a back seat to the daily demands of the job, often leading to discouragement and eventual burnout.
That is why the Wayne Institute created our one-year certificate program tailored for working professional therapists. Our combination of low-residency instruction and distance learning allows you to maintain work commitments while participating in an immersive learning experience with our highly trained, diverse faculty. Your year in the program will introduce you to cutting-edge advances in both theory and practice as you participate in three in-person residencies, six bi-monthly webinars, and on-going case consultation meetings.
Without exception, our graduates report that their Wayne Institute training experience far exceeded their expectations, dramatically increasing their confidence and expertise as clinicians. After completing the program some took the leap to leave unchallenging work environments, and others elevated their personal income by expanding their practices or increasing clinical fees. We invite you to enjoy similar professional, personal and financial benefits by investing in your career and applying to the Wayne Institute’s one-year certificate program today.
